PM's fund donate by bank  tk 163 crore  (Banking News)

The Bangladesh Association of Banks, a gathering of private banks' executives, has given Tk 163 crore to the Prime Minister's Relief and Welfare Fund.

The administrators and overseeing executives of every single private bank gave over checks independently to Prime Minister Sheik Hasina at an occasion on Friday, as per CEOs of various banks.

Prior on April 3, the banks' executives and CEOs alongside their life partners went to a casual get-together at Gono Bhaban upon the PM's welcome.

BAB Chairman Nazrul Islam Mazumder couldn't be gone after remarks.

The BAB circled a letter to every private bank a month ago asking the 30 old banks to give at any rate Tk 5 crore each and the 10 new banks Tk 1 crore each.

The sums were given from the banks' corporate social obligation reserves, as per the CEOs.

Exim Bank, whose director is Mazumder, given Tk 11 crore to the alleviation finance, the most elevated, while Islami Bank, the nation's biggest private bank, gave Tk 5 crore, as per the public statements from the two banks.

The banks spent Tk 744 crore from their CSR subsidizes in 2017, Tk 496 crore in 2016 and Tk 527 crore in 2015.

They had given Tk 85 crore to the head administrator in August a year ago as help for surge casualties.
